Sam Adams - "I'm a very musical person. That's all I really care about besides God and my family. I first started music when I was very young. We had two Beatles tapes that we would sing to in the car (Abbey Road, and Rubber Soul). I picked up the piano when I was 7 and became increasingly interested in music. I started to write songs when I was in the fifth grade, nothing really serious though. But on my 13th birthday my parents suprised me with an acoustic guitar. I immediately started taking lessons and wrote my first songs that summer.
During my 7th grade year I teamed up with Tim Saler and wrote several songs over a period of two and a half years in a band called Neurosonic. Eventually during my freshmen year Tim moved to New Jersey and the band was finished. I started writing solo again over the summer, but I missed having collaboration with my writing. I wanted to jam! So in the beginning of my sophomore year, Nick, Gene and I decided to form The Asian Gang. We've been rocking ever since, yo!"
