The Food Song

Recorded at a friend named Brett Gage's house on in the Late Winter of 2001. Vocals rerecorded during the Summer of 2002 (maybe?)

Egg. Chicken. Pickle. Bean.
Corn. Sausage. Cheese. Tofu.

Fig. Kiwi. Ham. Wonton.
Noodle. Beef. Yogurt. Burrito! AHAHAHAHAA!

Sushi. Cookie. Gristle. (mmm... gristle)
Taco. Fish! Pancake. Food everywhere, UNITE!

Song Info: Our band's first song! Hooray. Originally it was going to be a part of a grand concept album about a samurai chef who comes to liberate all food from the human's evil grasp. He creates a safe haven for food, but people mistake it for a buffet. So the chef totally flips out and kills everyone. THAT idea was shelved on the first day, but this song remained. It's a big hit with the older folks. Sam's aunt thinks it's the funniest thing ever committed to tape. Hmm... whatever floats your boat.
This particular version of the song was recorded at Brett Gage's house. Problem is, no one can really remember if Gene played drums or if Brett made a quick guest appearance. We do know that the other full band song recorded that day, Grand Theft Automobile (a 21 minute jam featuring Gene on guitar), featured Brett on drums. But the greatest underlying question is... who cares? Also! Be sure to note the wicked stereo panning between every word in the song. Totally SWEET! YIZZZOW!
