Unstuck From Time

Recorded in Nick's Basement on October 20, 2002
Billy couldn't move his feet, shot by the aliens' ray.
He floated up into their ship and heard what they had to say.
"Ignore the bad.
Remember the good.
Everything that ever was and ever will be should."

Billy Pilgrim was quite impressed with this philosophy.
He no long had to worry about pain and tragedy.
"And so it goes..."
He'd always say
When a fellow friend passed away.

Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.
Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.

He drifted back and forth through time, reliving his whole life.
From when he was young, to Viet Nam, to the death of his own wife.
Nobody seemed
To understand
When he broadcast the message across the land.

Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.
Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.

One memory that Billy wished that he could ignore,
Was the day Dresden was firebombed at the end of the World War.
The once beautiful city was reduced to a burning heap.
Billy had to dig out the corpses of those who lied beneath!
(OH NO!)

Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.
Oh Billy is unstuck from time.
Oh he seems to have lost his mind.

Song Info: In their AP English Literature class, Nick and Sam were together again with the task of presenting about the book Slaughterhouse-5 (which is a totally awesome book... read it). Naturally, as the did with Against All Odds before, they created a song to go with the presentation. Originally, the song would be performed live for the class, but both the players' fear of bringing in their guitars stopped that from coming to be. So the song was recorded in Nick's basement with Nick on drums. This is the first Asian Gang song to feature harmony!
